Due to staffing changes, the Lynnwood Police
Department has needed to change its front desk hours again. As of Sept. 17, the
front desk is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. As always, 911 should be used for
emergency calls or if an officer is needed.
As a result of the hour changes, there is an emergency call box adjacent to the
department’s front doors for the public’s use after hours. If someone has
business for the jail after hours, they should press the button marked “jail”
and wait for a custody officer to come assist. If there is an emergency,
pressing the “911” button will directly connect the caller with a police
dispatcher.
If the reporting person lives in the city limits of Lynnwood, the 911 call
should be done from their residence. If they fall into the required criteria,
police reports can also be filed online at
filed online using the On-Line Police Report site.
All other police department business will be handled during the new hours of 8
a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
FINGERPRINTING hours have also been amended to Wednesdays and
Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m.
**Reminder, individuals need to bring their own fingerprinting cards which
should be provided by the entity requesting the fingerprints. If you were not
provided with fingerprint cards, they can be
downloaded from the FBI website
and printed on card stock paper. The City of Lynnwood offers fingerprinting
services for all members of the public, regardless of city of residence. An
appointment is not required.
