Lynnwood Rec Center Project |
|
Construction continues with the project on schedule and under budget!
Passersby have seen dramatic changes to the building in the past month with the beginnings of roof structures. In late June, seven wood beams weighing over 16,000 pounds each were delivered and hoisted into place to create the structure for the new leisure pool. Additionally, much of the the new translucent semi-retractable skylight roof system was installed over the existing lap pool. See full press release for more information.
We take safety seriously. To achieve a safe worksite, Mortenson Construction Company holds a daily "bend and stretch" for all workers, a quarterly safety barbeque, and conducts "Worker to Worker" training with trade contractors. The "Worker to Worker" program includes a training video and job shadow of one trade with another, to provide a different perspective of safety on the jobsite, and also encourages workers in different trades to comment about potential unsafe practices with workers in other trades as they work together and observe others working on the jobsite.Mortenson Pinnacle Award
