Welcome to the inaugural issue of the Recreation Center Project eNewsletter!The project is moving along swiftly. City staff and a team of project consultants are working diligently to refine design elements and ensure compliance with city codes and standards while remaining on schedule and on budget for this exciting project.
We’ll have more to report in the coming months about recreation program moves, groundbreaking, construction schedules, and plans for a grand re-opening. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns you have.

December 21, 2009 Construction Begins
January 4, 2010 Certain Activities Resume at Senior Center and NABJan 2010 - Mar 2011 Recreation Center Closed
March 2011 Construction Completed
April 2011 Recreation Center Dedication and Re-Opening!
- All aquatics programs and racquetball activities will be cancelled.
- Cardio/weight room will be relocated to the North Administration Building (no showers available).
- Preschool will be relocated to the North Administration Building.
- Other recreation activities, including in-person and phone registration, will be held at the Lynnwood Senior Center or the North Administration Building (see below).
- Some additional activities may be cancelled, postponed or class times revised. Check our website regularly.
- The recreation brochure and City website will provide details and updates as we refine them. Call (425) 670-5732 for more information.
