Summer is here!  And we have lots of great things planned including our Free Children’s Performance Series WonderStage and hugely popular Shakespeare in the Park. Plus tons of great classes through the Lynnwood Recreation Center and don't forget we're still looking for entries for this year's themed art exhibit "It's Not Easy Being Green".
 
 
 
Summer Performances
 Linda Severt will be performing at WonderStage on August 4.
Looking for some great free activities to do with the kids and family this summer? How about heading down to Lynndale Park for WonderStage and Shakespeare in the Park.

 New Arts Commissioner
 
New Lynnwood Arts Commissioner Ruth Ross
The Lynnwood Arts Commission welcomes Ruth Ross as our newest member.  Ruth has a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Central Washington University and many years experience in municipal government.  She hopes to promote the development of art spaces, as well as, arts education in Lynnwood. Along with a passion for writing (recently she’s written her first book) she also loves painting, drama and music.  Her favorite arts activities in Lynnwood include Shakespeare in the Park and our annual juried art show.

Artists, are you looking for new places to market your art? City Marketplace is Lynnwood’s new indoor flea market. Since its grand opening in May, this weekend market has attracted quite a lot of people and attention. The possibilities are endless. Artist Opportunities
 
“It's Not Easy Being Green” Annual Themed Juried Art Exhibit.
Open to all ages and abilities!
Feel free to explore either the color green or the idea of being environmentally “green”.  The exhibit runs from September 27th through November 18th, 2010 at the Lynnwood Library Gallery.  No fee to enter and three fabulous prize baskets will be awarded. Applications will be accepted through July 31, 2010.
 
Lynnwood Library Gallery 2011 Art Exhibits
We are accepting applications for monthly exhibits in 2011 at the Lynnwood Library Gallery. Deadline is September 24, 2010.
