We’re looking for talented middle & high school students to perform at our fifth annual student showcase. With refreshments and fabulous prizes for the performers, this is a night you do not want to miss! Application Deadline is Friday, January 8, 2010.

Shakespeare In The Park

Free outdoor performances of Shakespeare’s plays in the summer.  Past shows included A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, and many other audience favorites. 

WonderStage

Free outdoor performances for children in the summer at Lynndale Park.  Past shows included the Reptile man, Valentine Performing Pigs, Breaking Point Dance Company, and Thistle Theater.

2010 Annual Juried Themed Exhibit - It's Not Easy Being Green

The Lynnwood Arts Commission invites visual artists to submit their work to our 7th annual juried themed art exhibit.  This year’s themed exhibit is It’s Not Easy Being Green.  Artwork submitted should explore either the color green or the idea of being environmentally “Green”.  The exhibit will take place from September 27th through November 18th, 2010 at the Lynnwood Library Gallery.  This Juried show is open to Washington state artists of all ages and levels. Applications will be accepted through July 31, 2010.

Lynnwood Convention Center Exhibits

We would like to invite visual artists in Washington to exhibit in this beautiful modern facility.  A panel drawn from the convention center, city government and arts professionals will select artists for continuing exhibitions. Application deadline is October 31, 2009 for exhibits starting in January 2010.

Throughout City of Lynnwood’s buildings and parks you will find 23 site-specific sculptures and a portable collection of over 110 works (appraised at over $800,000).  We offer educational guided tours of the collection.  Funded by a “1% for the arts” Ordinance.
