Hearing Examiner
The Hearing Examiner is a quasi-judicial official appointed by the City Council to provide impartial, professional Public Hearing services to the City. "Quasi-judicial refers to matters which state law or state courts have said must be handled in much the same way as court proceedings. Quasi-judicial proceedings require the protection of the due process rights of every involved participant.
Legal notices are issued before each Public Meeting or Hearing held by the Hearing Examiner. Most meetings are held in the City Council chambers (19100 44th Ave W) on the second and fourth Thursday afternoon of each month. Hearings with significant public interest will be held in the evening. If you have a question about an upcoming hearing, please contact the Planning Hotline at (425) 670-5410.
