Get Your Business License

The City of Lynnwood welcomes your business to our City. Municipal Code 5.04 requires that every person doing business within the city limits obtain a city business license. In addition, certain businesses may also need to obtain special licenses.

Business Licenses may be obtained by completing 4 simple steps.  If you have any questions during the process of completing your application, please contact the Business License Division: 425 670-6621.

1. Download, review, and/or print the Business License Instructions



2. Choose, download, and complete a Business License Application:

3. Print and complete any supplemental forms that apply to your type of business.  If you are unsure which forms may be applicable, please call the Business License Division at 425 670-6621 for assistance.

   • Home Occupations
   • General Office / Medical Office
   • Food / Beverage / Entertainment / Recreational Establishment
   • Automotive Boat or Vehicle Business
   • Manufacturing /Assembly / Warehousing / Storage Yard
   • Rental Housing
   • Institutional / Schools / Hospital / Governmental / Places of Worship


4. Return the printed form(s), along with your payment, to City Hall:

Please Note: An incomplete application may delay the processing of your license. Be sure to review your application for accuracy and completeness prior to submittal. The City ' s acceptance of your application and fee does not constitute approval or authorization to conduct business. Certain businesses may require additional fees.
