Lift Station and Force Main 16

Project Description

Project will intercept flows that currently flow to Lift Station 10 which is near capacity. Lift Station 16 will have a capacity of 2500 gpm using Wemco submersible pumps. Project includes a new 7100' force main from the Lift Station site to an existing discharge manhole located adjacent to the city golf course. The Lift Station site is located just north of 196th Street SW on the west side of 56th Avenue W.

The new force main will convey sewage from Lift Station 16 to an existing flow control structure just west of 68th Avenue W and 204th Street SW intersection. The installation will include digging a trench 8 to 15 feet deep, boring a pipe under highway 99, road restoration and traffic control. This will cause intermittent traffic impacts and delays along the construction route.

The project is being designed and built through the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) - Energy Program.
